Playground F.A.Q.
Playground F.A.Q.
The cost of the project is being funded through the concerted efforts of a robust fundraising program and the annual budget.
It was decided during initial discussions that there would not be a special assessment to fund this project, like the pool resurfacing project required.
Feedback was solicited from many members, with overwhelming support. Since the Board of Directors is not requesting a special assessment to pay for this project (similar to that of the 2021 special assessment to resurface the pool), and we are soliciting donations and using funds from the annual budget (FY2023 and FY2024) to cover the cost, it is not required to request a vote for capital improvements.
The Board of Directors has the authority to spend funds on the improvement of common areas and facilities of the community per our governing documents.
Members may submit comments or concerns about this project here.
The Board of Directors evaluates raising dues every year. Per the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions governing documents, the Board has the authority to raise the dues 10 percent (10%) without a vote of the members. The decision to raise dues has many factors, but the on-going maintenance of a playground would be one of many factors in the decision of whether dues should be raised or not.

The Playground Committee was established by the Board of Directors to determine feasibility and to manage the project from ideation to construction, the 'grand opening', and everything in between. This committee is responsible for fundraising, research, equipment selection, vendor selection, and more.
The committee is made up of members of the Board of Directors and members of the HOA.

The goal is to raise $10,000 from donations within the community.
Yes! The committee is determining the best route for recognizing donors. You will either be recognized by a stone with the donor's name engraved on it or by a plaque that will be hung in the clubhouse.
